Detroit, Michigan, March 12, 2009. Willy Carter, 59, Moved to East Detroit from Alabama 30+ years ago. His wife died last year from an enlarged heart. He raises two children and lives in this rented house on Liberal near Queen. Last year he rented a different house which was foreclosed on while he was living in it. According to him, the owner never paid the mortgage even though he was paying rent.
